Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC) in Leduc
The restricted firearms safety course, taught the same practical way as our CFSC. Participants must be 18 or older and have completed the CFSC or hold a valid PAL.
Before you book
To take the CRFSC you must already have completed the Canadian Firearms Safety Course or hold a valid PAL, and be at least 18 years old. If you do not have the CFSC yet, book the combined package and take both in sequence.
What the course covers
- Safe handling of restricted firearms, including handguns
- Restricted firearm actions, ammunition and operation
- Safe storage, display and transportation rules for restricted firearms
- Authorization to transport concepts and owner responsibilities
- Written and practical evaluation
What the certification does and does not do
The CRFSC is a safety certification, not a licence and not a purchase authorization. Federal rules affecting restricted firearms continue to change and all licensing decisions rest with the Canadian Firearms Program. Check current official guidance before making plans based on a restricted licence.
